Can I volunteer with a group or my company?
Yes. A Volunnear coordinator arranges groups of eight or more and company teams. A group should book at least three weeks ahead, and the assistant cannot promise a date.

Who this applies to
This applies to friend groups, families, classes, clubs, and company teams who want to volunteer together.
How it works
- Tell the assistant you are bringing a group or a company team.
- Share the headcount and a rough time frame, such as a month or a season.
- The assistant hands your request to a coordinator and, when it can, gives you a request number.
- The coordinator confirms headcount and dates with the partner organization.
- Book at least three weeks before you want to go.
What to know
- Group size limits depend on the opportunity, and commonly they are 8, 12, or 20 people.
- Many listings do not take groups at all.
- When you give a group size, the assistant shows only listings that say they take groups that large.
- Family groups of eight or more are handled as groups.
- A group of any size can ask for help. The assistant shows only listings that say they take groups that large.
- Coordinators confirm dates with the organization. Your own preferred date may not be possible.
- The assistant collects headcount and timing but does not pick a date for you.
An example
Dana organizes a 14 person team from her office in Manhattan. She tells the assistant the headcount and says her team could go in about a month. The assistant hands her to a coordinator, who confirms dates with a food pantry. Dana learns the pantry's limit is 12, so the team splits across two days.
What we cannot do
- Promise a date or a spot for your group.
- Quote a price or a fee.
- Book a group from inside the chat.
Need a person?
Ask for a coordinator and say "I have a group of 14 and want to volunteer in about a month."
